My brother was into U2 since 1980 and got me hooked on them. First single I bought was Gloria. He bought me this ticket for my 18th birthday. They were supported by The Waterboys. I remember we were right up at the front of the stage. At one point Bono stopped in the middle of a song to give a speach about something and some guy behind me shouted at him to stop preaching and carry on singing.
