I was there!!!
16 years old with my best friend A.J. In awe of the moment, the crowd doing the wave, the beach balls all over. Amazed at it all, I’m watching the guys on rafters setting up still, listening to “stand by me” we notice a guy cone out and start singing. IT WAS BONO! Guys on the rafters were looking at each other with arms up in shock. The show was on! Greatest memory ever! Love them so much, never forget. Thanks U2. I was reborn that night.

Stand By Me
Another great, great show to finish their 5-night residency at the L.A. Sport Arena. I had seats on the floor with some friends (shout out to Louis & Bob!), and we were thrilled when U2 walked on stage early, with the house lights still on, during the PA playback of Ben E. King's, "Stand By Me," which the band then played along with, joining seamlessly mid-song. What a way to begin the show! Fabulous concert.

A shot rang out
I am not sure of the exact L.A. date, I believe I was able to make 3 of the concerts that week,. On the last night, I went alone to the concert. I was walking to the L.A. Sports Arena and a gun shot sounded close by. I ran to get to the gates, and hurt my foot while running. The concert was amazing, it had been one of my last visits to a U2 concert until I have the privilege of going again. That night I wasn't able to drive home because I had a manual car at the time, my foot was throbbing. The next morning I went to soak my foot in a jucuzzi, what a beautiful day it turned out to be. It's my loss that it escaped me for so long.
