My first time seeing U2 and still my favourite gig. Positioned down the front for entire show with 5000 on our back. The amazing set kicked off with "Where The Streets Have No Name" and ended with "Spanish Eyes" & "40".
We were kept cool with buckets of water by the time the show ended I was drenched head to toe. So much so my small ticket was wasted in my soaking jeans. I had to piece it together.
The support was Hoodoo Gurus.
I caught a hair tie rag early into the gig which I'm sure was Bono's.

U2 Concert Virgin
The first time I saw U2 was in 1987 on The Joshua Tree Tour in Glasgow at the SECC, at the time I was only 15 and I was there on my own, I will always remember it because a week before the concert I bought The Joshua Tree album and the ticket at the same time, ticket was only £9.00.
When I arrived at my seat I was so nervous and excited all at the same time I could not sit down for the whole concert from start to finish, they were phenomenal.
Since that time over the past 23 years I have been lucky enough to see them a further 18 times and even luckier to have met the band not once but twice in Glasgow when they were touring the Zoo TV tour.
I just want to say thank you and cannot wait to see you again.
