I became a U2 Fan in the end of 1989, right on time with the fell of the Berlin Wall.
Then had to wait nearly 3 long long years for that moment to see them guys arrive on stage in Dortmund. Stood right in front of Edge. No mind, they blew my mind!
Couldn't believe what I saw, when the Trabants came down lightend the stage...those stinky, gorgeous plastic cars, symbol of a bad kind of socialism, became Art. Seeing that and hearing them Achtung Baby songs played live, got me crying... Everytime when I hear the opening of Zoo Station, remember Bono kicking the air, when he arrived on stage.
Can't remember the support band, but they where really bad, sorry.
