U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere #24

'Busking was never our thing…'

Christmas arrived early during the year's penultimate show of U2:UV.

After I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, the band launched into 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)', their cover of Darlene Love's holiday torch song that appeared on 1987's 'A Very Special Christmas' album.

'City of Blinding Lights' was another surprise tonight and an acoustic rendition of  'Pride (In The Name of Love)'. 'Busking was never our thing... except for on Christmas Eve'.

What Bono Said

'The American doesn't yet exist. The American is still in the process of being created. It's kind of inspiring…..We all come to this country carrying our myths and histories, our talents and traumas, our wisdom and traditions. We all come to America in our dreams and some of us want to wake up in them….America is still waiting to be born, what an inspiring thought…could be the greatest song the world has never heard…a song being written in this room this evening.'

'Wham, bam, thank you, Bram', at the end of 'With Or Without You,  'I'm delirious at this point in the show. I don't know what I'm doin', what I'm sayin', what I'm thinkin'. The greatest high you could ever have in this city is listening to you, playing for you'.

Until the End of the World
This was my 100th U2 show and it could not have been more special - amazing set list surprises & Bono continuing to break down the wall between band and audience. So many friends captured this moment for me, but this may be one of my favorite photos. The look on my face is pure joy! Can’t wait to do it again in 2024!
Thanks for all
Thanks to my wife karin76, who has written the article for me. It is unbelievable how many shows I've seen over the continents all the years. It's a journey to see countries and enjoying the concerts. Especially the little (great) things, like the fist-bump between Bono and me in Berlin at the Admiralspalast in 2022, or simply reaching my hand to the Edge at the Hotel in Berlin in 2018. Dreams will come true. Thanks, Marcel
Baby please come home
It was my first Sphere show, no. 72 in total. Never expected to be that much overwhelmed by emotions and thankfulness. What an epic evening. See you soon in February!
A December 16, 2023 with U2
From acoustic guitar to electric…, from vinyl to digital format… On December 16, 2023 at the Las Vegas sphere U2 introduced us to another dimension in LIVE performance… Thanks to U2 for all these years for making us dream after each legendary album and tour... U2DNA
Travelled from England with my 19 year old daughter for a 4 day whirlwind tour of Vegas and to introduce her to my favourite band who I have seen over a dozen times over the years. Best seats, visuals, sound and great set list . You now have an extra fan!!!
U2 let me travel the world
It is so brilliant for being a U2 fan. Travelled from Germany to San Diego. Saw the land of USA. Palm Spings, JT Park, Grand Canyon and finally 2 final shows at the sphere. So happy, that I have seen U2 in Europe and Australia over the years, and now the USA. Merry christmas to U2 and the fans. Especially to Bram. Well done man!
U2 on Friday, Dec. 15th, 2023
Both spotlit and backlit, The Edge, Bono and Adam Clayton (L-R) jam in front of a raucous crowd at Sphere in Las Vegas. This was most of the way through the encores.
