U2360° TOUR

'This doesn't feel like a Wednesday night,' says Bono, after Until The End of the World. 'This is a very special occasion. You thought we were an Irish band and we are, you thought we had an Irish crew and we do... but actually this tour is run by Belgians.'

Tonight, first of two consecutive shows at the Stade Roi Boudoin in Brussels, events had a distinctly Belgian flavour. This was where we kicked off the European leg of Vertigo back in the summer of 2005. The set list may be almost unrecognisable from five years ago, but some things never change: 'So the doors opened and we ran, we ran so fast, until we arrived on the first row...'

That was a 2005 show review but any number of these passionate Belgian fans could be posting the same words about tonight. From the Mexican waves an hour before the band came on stage to the crescendo of appreciation all set long, this felt like some kind of homecoming. In a way it was said Bono, asking Edge, Adam and Larry to cite their own favourite Belgians before pointing out that there are more Belgians on the crew on this tour than any other nationality.

'The 360 stage was built in Werchter, then we took it all over the world and so this is in fact the homecoming...' The stadium took off after that and never came back to earth. No need for a vocal on Still Haven't Found - 60,000 Belgians sang it all alone.

A balmy, late summer evening with a full moon hovering over the stadium ('That is a very beautiful object you have hanging in the Belgian night...') was a perfect setting for both North Star and Mercy. Sixteen shows into this leg of the tour, with - hard to believe - just six to go and the set list keeps evolving. Tonight (for completists) we had three unreleased tracks, six from the eighties, four from the nineties and eleven from the last decade.

Tell us what you thought of the show - add your own review and upload your photos below.

Beautiful Day in Melbourne

THANK YOU
There was so many memorable moments... The band coming up on stage, Bono thanking the belgian team, the incredible electro version of "I'll go crazy...", the crowd singing a complete verse of "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" alone, But my two favorites are when the crowd did a huge ovation after "with or without you", it was so beautiful and so good to thank the band as well as the deserve... And the second was "Where the street have no name", the most beautiful and emotional song ever... Only one thing to say : THANK YOU for such an amazing night... Come back soon pleaaaaase!!!

Saw my 3rd concert of the 360 tour in Brussels. Again amazing performance, sound so much better than in Amsterdam. And again in awe of the claw. So not only thanking U2 for a great night but also Willie and co for that marvellous stage and everything up and around it. And please keep Mercy as one of the new songs on the show, it sounds great live! As did many other songs, in fact all of them!;) Hey guys you were in great form last night.

Best moment of the evening
For me, the best moment of the evening was between the first chord of Beautiful Day and the dying seconds of 'Moment of Surrender'. What show, what an atmosphere,... Thank you very, very much!

Amazing grace
Many thanks for the amazing evening in Brussels last night ! Yes, it was a beautiful day, I'm lucky to be with u in this space of time .. Many thanks to my sister who gave me in the name of love her ticket as a present. I'm grateful in many ways ... ‎"Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. When we've been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we've first begun."

What a Rock'n Roll night!
This was my 5th and last gig on the 360 Tour and it was also the most Rock'n roll! I don't remember I've seen the band playing with so much energy, like if they had to conquer the audience and it felt great. Thanks for this beautiful night!
Loved the show in Brussels last night !
I loved the show in Brussels last night ! It blew the audience away for more than 2 hours. Espacially when the 360° video screen stretched out during "City of blinding lights" and "Vertigo". Also liked the new songs they played ("Mercy" more than "North star") For those who are going tonight: enjoy !!

Best U2 Show I have ever seen...
This was the best U2-concert I have ever seen and I have seen every tour since their passage in Gent in 1992. Amazing show, brilliant setlist and super fans! It had something magical, the moon up over the stadium, band and audience giving their best. Bono praising Belium and the Belgians and us, the audience, singing along with him ofr the entire show. It was fantastic!! Thank you so very much U2!!

No words
This was a very special night, better than last year in Amsterdam (sorry neighbours) a mad, mad crowd. And an out-of-this-universe band. I'm still letting it all sink in.

love u2
we had red zone tickets, so we supported the good cause. U2 was my first concerted when i was 15 years old, now i am 34 years, and i love every song off it. They where so close, 2 meters away from me, unbelieveble. I have some nice pictures off it. I will remember this day for a long long time. U2, u guys have a heart on the right place for people, poverty, and sickness. Love u guys x vicky
