Bono - my husband suffered a similar injury and the only way to get back to 100% is to do the rehab - so work the program and come back to us better than ever - in whatever time frame that takes!! Dear Bono, Take your time on your recovery; we can all wait, so do not rush it. My heart goes out to you in your recovery as I am still recovering from a back fracture. I was on a training run for my next marathon last April of 2009 when a car ran a red light, took a sharp right hand turn, swerved into the bike lane and plowed right into me. I had a compression fracture of the lumbar-1 vertebra and my neurosurgeon said that I was one hair away from being a paraplegic. I spent 9 days in the hospital, 4 months in a full back brace, and another 2 and a half months in bed before my neurosurgeon said I was able to begin physical therapy. I went from a wheelchair, to a walker, to a cane, and now I can walk normally. Hopefully, I'll be able to run another marathon in another year. I'm still in physical therapy and I should be back to work in a month. I'm a super active person, so being in bed was not fun. I was on a lot of pain meds, but not anymore. My friends all laughed at me (in a nice way) because I could not remember conversations or people visiting me due to all the pain meds. So, Edge, you can have fun with Bono while he is on pain meds even though he won't remember anything. Please, take your time in recovery and focus on getting better; don't worry about your fans or the rest of the world. We love you and your music and we can all wait until you are recovered. I'm sure your family will take great care of you. All the best! Superfrog.

Oh my goodness, can't tell you how disappointed my son & I were that we won't be seeing the show til 2011.....BUT we did just see y'all this past Sept.! :-) Besides, what's REALLY THE MOST important is that Bono heals COMPLETELY so he can get back to the exciting showman that he is! Bono is verrrrry blessed to have people around him that will make sure that he will be a good, compliant patient. God bless you all greatly! Like one other fan said below, we will wait for you! It's such a comfort to hear your voice and see the twinkle in your eye. Makes me truly believe that Bono will be O.K. Edge, we are counting on you, Adam and Larry to be there to make sure that no short cuts are taken and that Bono does what he needs to do to fully recover. I know you guys won't fall for his charm:)

Bono...I'm glad it was taken care of...couldn't stand the site of you wheeling around the stage like Admiral Pike from Star Trek.....your lyrics reduced to blinking yellow or red lights...tennis balls in your spokes! All the best to a speedy recovery. We're going to Denver, in spite of ya.

This was a dangerous situation which could have resulted in paralysis. Thank God Bono was taken to hospital straight away. To be honest, I think it will take much longer than 8 weeks to be fully rehabilitated. Can take up to a year to feel as if back to complete normal. Tell Bono to mind his P's and Q's and to not take any chances. We are praying for him. Use this time to get into the quiet and listen to God for new revelations. He never wastes such opportunities to slow us down and will reveal new things if we wait for Him. Blessings, brother Bono, and blessings to the rest of the Boys in the Band. We love you. Our Father's Day tickets were a dream come true sadly, we lost our child this year and this would have been the first father's day. To see the most inspiring band on this day would have been a blessing. Im hoping we get the Father's Day slot for next year! I certainly felt numb when I heard Bono had suffered a bad back injury. Glad to hear you are on the mend. Get well soon. Don't over do it. Bono - please REST and RELAX. The tour can wait! It takes time to heal. Eat lots of fresh organic vegetables and fruit - with lots of greens! You will heal much faster!

2011 sounds good to me hope you feel better soon , no hurry take your time ,,,we will always be here for you to entertain,,, besides probably July 3rd in Toronto would be too warm...just relax chill out right some lyrics lie in all day , have same Doritos watch dexter season 1-3 , or may i also recomend , breaking bad great show lol... try some painting ...just relax do what the doctors tell you to do ...
