I knew I was very, very upset when I heard that Bono was hurt. I have tickets for the Miami show and was crushed to hear that the show will be delayed. However, I was much more concerned about Bono. It sounds like he is going to be alright!! Thank God!! Bono take all the time you need to recover. I think it is very classy that The Edge took the time out to speak to the fans about this matter. Thank you. Oh and looking forward to the new songs!! Bono get well soon.

I'm suppose to be heading to see the lads in Vienna in late August. I notice that none of the Euro dates have been postponed (so far!), and I'm hoping that they go ahead. I'm traveling from Wexford in Ireland to the gig in Austria...I guess I'll have to just wait and see how Bono's recovery goes. Fingers, toes and all other appendages crossed !! GET WELL SOON BUDDY. You know your BlackBerry has a memo function? You could have gotten him really good. Let this be a lesson to you lad. And he wasn't making much sense? Well, nothin' new there. You might want to remind him that pain meds and wine are not a good mix (generally speaking).

Dear Edge, thank you for giving us some information about Bono´s health. Hearing the terrible news about his back injury I was shocked, I have never heard anything about his serious problems before. Now I am relieved that he already feels a bit better and that he takes enough time to recover completely, because health is really the most important thing. And dear Bono, I wish you a full and quick recovery and I hope that you will never have to go through such a severe pain again. And I would like to thank you for all the beautiful moments your music has given me. Last year I had the luck to see your amazing concert in Berlin. The big energy and beauty of songs like "The Unforgettable Fire" made me feel shivers. Of course I am looking forward to seeing you again in my country Austria, but remember, your health is always much more important than all the concerts. The Edge really needs to hold Bono's hands to the fire on his promise to give him his car and various artwork. He has to teach Bono to be a man of his word, after all! Bono can't just revert to "selective memory!" Surgery or no surgery! ;)
