The band have been nominated for two Brit Awards... and a whole bunch of great acts who have supported them on the Vertigo Tour are also in the running.
U2 are nominated for International Group and International Album at the UK music industry bash, which takes place in London next month. But peppering the nominations are nods to Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Kanye West, Arcade Fire and others who have been out on the road with the band in recent months.
In the International Group category U2 face competition from Arcade Fire, Black Eyed Peas, Green Day and White Stripes. In the album category they are up against Arcade Fire, Green Day, Kanye West and Madonna.
