Beautiful Day Setting Records in Canada

21 Dec 2000
U2's single Beautiful Day has set a record for the most consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Canadian BDS Rock Chart since the inception of BDS in January 1997.

Beautiful Day has held the No.1 position at Rock Radio for the past 14 weeks. The previous record was held by the Foo Fighters who stayed at number one for 13 weeks with Learn To Fly.

Beautiful Day also set the record for the most spins ever in the history of the BDS Rock chart for a one week period. U2 held the No.1 spot at Rock Radio earlier this year with The Ground Beneath Her Feet from the Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack.

ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND has now achieved triple Platinum status in Canada since it's release on October 31st when it debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian SoundScan chart.
