DATA is urging supporters to call the White House today and tomorrow
and tell President Bush to 'Act Now Against AIDS'.
DATA - which stands for Debt, AIDS, Trade in Africa - is the campaigning
organisation which Bono is working with to put pressure on western governments
to increase funding in the fight against the global AIDS epidemic.
President Bush will visit Africa on January 10th and is now considering
what to do about the AIDS crisis on the continent. Campaigners believe that
without a major new initiative, 2.5 million people will die from AIDS in
Africa next year. Groups across the US are calling in to the White House
because each call to the President can make the difference.

the lives of millions of people in Africa.
