Dublin Gets Booked

25 Sep 2006
Hundreds of fans hit Easons on O'Connell Street for the second of the book-signings on Saturday... along with one or two famous faces.

There were 250 people inside the store - many of whom were winners in the U2.Com Subscribers competition - and more than a thousand were outside in the street, hoping to catch a glimpse of the band.

Edge, Larry, Adam and Bono were signing books for a couple of hours before none other than David Walliams, star of the cult UK show LIttle Britain turned up: if you haven't come across the hit TV comedy, that's him beaming, getting Larry to sign his book.

Walliams had been in town signing copies of his own 'Little Britain' book in Easons on Dawson Street but dashed across to get the band to dedicate one of theirs for him. Boris Becker, German tennis legend, was also in the hunt for a signed copy. Game, set and match as we say in the business.
