U2's highly anticipated 'Tomb Raider' video for Elevation premieres on MTV today, Monday, with a special 'Making The Video' documentary.
The song is the opening track of the soundtrack to the upcoming Hollywood film Tomb Raider and the video, directed by Joseph Kahn, was shot (pictured left) at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
Elevation is the next U2 single and following tomorrow's premiere, MTV will be airing the new video this week every day at the following times (all local).
MONDAY - 10:00PM
TUESDAY - 12:00PM, 11:30PM
WEDNESDAY - 6:30PM, 1:00AM
THURSDAY - 7:30PM
FRIDAY - 1:00PM
SATURDAY - 1:30AM
SUNDAY - 5/20 - 9:30AM
MTV2 are set to host an all-day premiere for the video on Thursday, with an airing every hour on the hour.
The theme of the new video, tying in with the Tomb Raider movie starring Angelina Jolie, has been hotly debated but the wraps have been kept on until now.
Some reports claim that the storyline features U2 duking it out with an evil version of themselves as Edge is kidnapped by the bandmembers' doppelgängers.
Director Kahn (Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys) has said that the video blends U2 and the Tomb Raider movie into one giant action piece.
'The U2 as you know them want to save the world,' he explained. 'But the evil U2 want to destroy the world.'
