Elevation Video Shoot

12 Apr 2001
Our shot, left, shows Bono on set at Universal Studios in Los Angeles last weekend, as the band filmed their video for their next single Elevation.

As widely reported, Elevation is set to feature in the soundtrack for the Hollywood release of Tomb Raider this summer - the single will be released around about the same time.

The band shot the video with director Joseph Kahn whose credits include Wu Tang Clan's 'Gravel Pit' and Destiny's Child 'Say My Name'. Angelina Jolie, who plays Lara Croft in the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster, will feature with U2 in the video.

Elevation is a track that U2 have been playing live almost without fail since the release of the album and is opening the set during the tour.

It's the fourth track to be lifted for single release from All That You Can't Leave Behind.

Beautiful Day reached No 1 in many countries, Stuck In A Moment was also a worldwide hit while Walk On, only released in Canada so far, also hit the top spot.

Tomb Raider will open in the U.S. in June and in Europe in July.
