Free U2 CD With The Sunday Times

1 Jun 2001
If you are in the UK or Ireland this weekend, you'll notice the Sunday Times newspaper is giving away a free U2 CD with five audio tracks and never before seen video footage of the band. The audio track list is number one single Beautiful Day from All That You Can't Leave Behind, The Ground Beneath Her Feet from the Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack, and three previously unreleased live tracks recorded in New York at last December's Irving Plaza gig. The live tracks are I Remember You (a cover of the Ramones classic), New York from the current album and I Will Follow from Boy. There's also an enhanced element with exclusive video footage of Bono, Adam, Larry and The Edge in the South of France backed with Beautiful Day and performance footage of the band performing the Johnny Cash track Don't Take Your Guns To Town.

The newspaper will be running a feature by award-winning author and part-time lyricist Salman Rushdie, who has written a piece chronicling his relationship with the band. Keep your eyes on u2.com - we'll be putting Salman's article online soon.
