It is up against:

- I Move On by Fred Ebb and John Kander from Chicago
- Lose Yourself by J. Bass, M. Mathers, and L. Resto from 8 Mile
- A Mighty Wind by Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy and Michael McKean from A Mighty Wind
