Live From The Rose Bowl (To Everywhere)

25 Oct 2009245
'What time is it in the world and where are we going?' Bono asked after 'Get On Your Boots'. Tonight it was every time on the clock, depended which country you were in as the U2 360°: show went out live on YouTube to millions of viewers on seven continents.

A record-breaking 97,000 fans watched the show live at the Rose Bowl and we've been getting messages from fans all over the world who were enjoying it live online : you were watching in China and New Zealand, in Iran and in North Korea, in Russia and Latin America, in Canada and right across Europe.

From Iceland ('Definitely the greatest economy class I have ever had...') to Peru ('amazing, incredible and exciting...') the whole world seems to have been at the show.

'It's like we are all there at the concert,' said Baadsilver on our Zoootpia live thread 'We ALL have our hands in the air and are singing... crazy tonight for U2.'

Or as one smart Tweet put it, 'This has to be the best U2 concert I have never been to.'

From Breathe to Moment of Surrender, felt like a moment of rock'n'roll history tonight. If you were watching somewhere in the world tonight, why don't you tell us what it was like in the comments box at the bottom of this page - and don't forget to include which COUNTRY YOU WERE WATCHING IT IN.

If you were actually at the RoseBowl post your own review and add your photos on our tour page, or catch the rebroadcast here.

Meantime, even though you know this, here's what they played at the Rose Bowl tonight.

It felt like paradise! It felt like I was in LA, but on stage! Though by myself, It felt like the world was with me, and I with them, on stage in LA - One World... I felt I was everywhere and no where as it was not just a broadcast, it was not just a concert, it was the ultimate global experience! Congratulations U2!

Hungarian fans were awake
Hello All, I was watching the gig from Budapest. I couldn't imagine a better start of the week. I was really impressed as the quality was perfect as well as the gig itself. Another magnificient, awesome and unforgettable concert with the guys. Professionalism and neverending commitment to music or to anything what they do. This is what U2 means to me. There has been no doubt U2 is the best rock band of the world. BUT FROM NOW AND ON there is no doubt U2 has THE BEST AND LARGEST AUDIENCE OF THE WORLD.

Great Show!
Saw the boys and their space ship in August here in Germany (Gelsenkirchen) and now live on YouTube, brought back great memories, especially as most songs of this set were also played at my show. The Boys were amazing, I was especially happy about Until the End of the World and Mysterious Ways, also great job from Frank De Winne during In A Little While. This was well worth staying up for, thanks a million to Edge, Adam, Bono and Larry for giving the world a great concert experience on a computer screen, you've done it again, can't wait to see you again in Munich next year!

Great
Yeah, indeed it was a great show, I think everybody knew this even before it even started. The Czech republic calling Ireland here, great job guys! :) I just hope to see you guys live in Prague someday again, it's too long since you've been here last time. Nevertheless, the Aung San Su Kyi intro and the mobile phones shining were the strongest moments of the show for me. Great!

Have seen these fellow Irish lads 15 times over last 25 years and they pulled a globe together last night ! Just faultless really and so comfortable in their own skins. Two Tribes snippet so unexpected and great In Gods Country ! But Amazing Grace - BonoVox still got it ! Roll on 2010 gigs !!

A Moment of Surrender
I woke up at 3.30am in the UK to surrender to the U2 360 moment that was taking place on YouTube... absolutely amazing, no other words can describe it!!! And I've seen you live 5 times this year from Dublin, Wembley, Glasgow, Sheffield and Cardiff. And I keep coming back. Can;t wait for 2010. Well done gents, your tour is amazing, you guys are a class act and The Edge is a legend. The YouTube gig was a stroke of genius and you have changed the way people will listen and view music from this day forward. Keep it going... from a bleary eyed fan in the UK... I need some sleepzzzz.....
