New Years Dub, the U2 sampled dance track, is set for release on Serious Records on May 21st.
The track, which went down a storm at the Miami Winter Music Conference, is the first release from Musique (pictured left), the new project from Moussa Clarke (better known as Moose) and Nick Hanson.
Moose, who produced the track, is best known for tunes like Choose Life, the infamous slamming hard house track that sampled Ewan McGregor's opening speech from Trainspotting, and for his massive radio hit remix of Tzant's Sounds Of The Wickedness which went to number 11 in the UK charts.
Musique was signed to Serious, Judge Jules' Universal imprint, after the Judge himself fell in love with the U2 sampling on New Years Dub. The title track samples The Edge's infamous guitar line from New Year's Day, layering vocal from Barney C over Musique's hooky beats.
As revealed earlier on U2.COM, U2 were so impressed with the new dance track that they gave permission for this new version of a song which they originally wrote in 1982.
New Year's Dub will be available on two vinyl, one cd and one cassette format:
