On The Move: A Speech by Bono

17 Jan 2007
A speech Bono made at a White House conference in 2005 will be published as a book in April.

The speech, 'On The Move', calls on Americans to take action against extreme poverty and AIDS in Africa. The book will feature striking photographs, many of which were taken by Bono during his first trip to Ethiopia in 1985.

The book (only available in North America) has been designed by Steve Averill of Four5One Design, U2's long-time design team, and all royalties from its sale will go to the ONE campaign (www.one.org).

Publisher David Moberg heard the speech and approached Bono directly about turning it into a book in a bid to inspire Americans in the fight against AIDS and poverty in Africa.

"I was very motivated after hearing Bono speak and asked myself how we could help," he says. "We're honoured to publish this book and assist in whatever way we can with Bono's efforts on behalf of the ONE campaign."

'On the Move' by Bono is published on April 3rd by Thomas Nelson Publishers
