The band received a 'lifetime achievement' award from the British Music Industry in London today.
Edge, Larry, Adam and Bono were on hand to receive the award at the 30th Nordoff-Robbins Silver Clef Awards, which raises funds for music therapy.
The Who won a 30th anniversary award while Bob Geldof got an international award for his work in Africa.
"I'm standing here as the lucky member of a great band," said Bono, who also urged people to support Live 8. "I don't think it's the pop stars or the musicians that the politicians are afraid of, it's the audience. They are young people and they can change things."
A charity at the ceremony raised £338,000 for music therapy. More as we get it.
