Raining, Thunder, Lightning...

19 Jul 2005
...but it cheered up in Zurich, by the time U2 arrived on stage.

Unfortunately Ash and Feeder, who both played blinding sets, had to contend with pouring rain throughout. They both did well considering and it's going to be good having them on the road for the next few dates.

Local roof tops and balcony flats surrounding the stadium were rammed with fans who didn't have tickets for the show. In the end, because of the unusual construction of the Letzigrund Stadium, many of them had a pretty good view anyway.

And there was something very Swiss about the fact that the back of the stage was in full view of those outside the stadium patiently queuing up for a tram home.

Consensus amongst the crew is that Miss Sarajevo was the show highlight - it's such a treat to hear this great song in the show. Again Bono had the opera in him for this song, just as much as 'Sometimes...' His Italian was pretty good too.

Apologies that we have quite a brief report on Zurich for the moment - we'll bring you more later.
