Salad Days

19 Aug 2004
'A great song is like a salad dressing'. Edge waxes philosophical and culinary in a handwritten postcard to the publishers of Q Magazine.

It was when working on a new song called 'All Because of You', reflects Edge, no stranger to The Kitchen, that aesthetic enlightenment in the form of the salad dressing dawned.

'You need just the right amount of sweet, sour and salt to get it right and when you do you only notice the balance of flavours, not the ingredients.'

If you want to know how legendary football manager Don Revie adds still more insight to this startling analogy, you'll have to get the September edition of Q, which has just hit (UK) streets.
