It was a busy weekend for U2 fans in North America as the first ten cities to go on sale for the fall leg of Elevation 2001 immediately sold out.
Due to overwhelming demand for the tour, which kicks off on Wednesday, October 10th at Notre Dame, additional performances were added in both Chicago and Los Angeles. They also sold out.
Tickets for shows in New York; New Jersey; Providence, Rhode Island and Oakland, California go on sale this weekend.
U2 will be joined on this leg of the tour by special guest Garbage in South Bend, Montreal, Hamilton, Chicago, Baltimore and New York City. Special guest Stereophonics will appear in East Rutherford, Providence and Philadelphia. Special Guest No Doubt will appear in Austin, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
