They see him here, They see him there

'Sightings of Bono' is a new short film which has just been shot in Dublin. Unsurprisingly it stars Bono himself, the second movie role he has undertaken this year.

The new film, written by Kathy Gilfillan and produced by Parallel Films, focuses on a Dublin girl called Ellen (played by Marcella Plunkett) who sees Bono everywhere until she eventually meets him in the shop where she works. (U2 fans worldwide may find this scenario ringing a few bells.)

The seven minute short was made by Allirelandmusic.com which has the exclusive rights to the film.

During filming Bono relaxed with friends and crew much to the delight of tourists, fans and passers by. He reportedly had a warm word for everyone including a young toddler whom he advised to 'Vote for Bono'.

Exteriors for the production were shot in front of Abrakebabra on Stephen St. where a crowd gathered to cheer on the singer.

The trailer for  'Sightings of Bono' will premiere exclusively on AllIrelandmusic.com on Monday 4th at 15:00 (European time) and the full film will be shown on Monday 11th at 15:00 (European).

(Earlier this year, Bono made a 10-second appearance in Million Dollar Hotel, the Wim Wenders film based on the U2 singers original story.)
