WBWC, the Cleveland College Radio station, are to host their annual U2
marathon next month. Fans can listen online.
The 'U2003 U2 Marathon' will begin at 7am on June 12th and presenters Todd
Richards and Mary Cipriani will not stop spinning U2 discs until one am the
next morning.
Todd and Mary evidently know their U2 - some of their own fan memorabilia
has been loaned to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland,
Ohio for the current U2 Exhibition, 'In The Name Of Love: Two
Decades of U2'.
WBWC's U2003 Marathon will also kick off the Fan Weekend at the U2
Exhibition on June 14th, with segments of the broadcast day on
Thursday, June 12th taking place live from the Alan Freed Radio Studio
on-site at the Rock Hall from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Fans can participate by emailing their requests in advance to
request@wbwc.com (include topic "U2
Marathon") and specify the hour (Eastern Standard Time) in which you'd like
to hear the song.
WBWC 88.3 FM "The Sting" is the radio voice of Baldwin-Wallace College and
has a big collection of U2 recordings and the U2 marathon will feature
rarities, B-sides, imports, and remixes.
