U2 have announced details of a 34 city North American concert tour, beginning on March 24th in Miami.
Special Guest PJ Harvey will join U2 for their first arena tour since 1992 and tickets for the first six dates go on sale this weekend (Jan 13th).
Registered members of U2.COM will have an advance window to purchase a limited number of tickets as they go on sale. They will be informed by e-mail of the chance to purchase tickets for Miami, Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, Boston and Philadelphia ahead of Saturday's general on-sale date.
A European tour, which will follow the North American dates, will be announced in the coming months. It will include dates in The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, France, Denmark, Ireland and England.
'U2 Elevation Tour 2001' follows the band's critically acclaimed Interscope release 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' which debuted at Number 1 in 32 countries and has achieved sales in excess of 6 million worldwide since its release on October 31, 2000.
