U2 Still Quite Popular In Ireland

U2 won in three categories of the Meteor Ireland Music Awards at the weekend.



The band won the Best Irish Band, Best Selling Irish Rock Album and Best Irish Songwriter awards, which were presented at a ceremony at the Point Theatre in Dublin.



Christy Moore was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the show, which featured lived performances by Sinead O'Connor, David Gray and Emmylou Harris.



U2 were not present for the awards as they had already set off for tour rehearsals in Miami.
