U2's performance of Walk On will feature in the all-star CD and DVD release of Tribute To Heroes, released in early December.
More than 50 musicians and celebrities donated their time and gifts to the US-wide simulcast on September 21st, which generated initial pledges of $150 million for those affected by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The CD will feature 21 musical performances, including those by Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, and Willie Nelson. The DVD/VHS features the entire event, including between-song addresses.

According to
Billboard.com, all five major record companies are suspending exclusivity clauses for their artists and waiving publishing fees - allowing all profits to be donated to the Sept. 11 Telethon Fund.
The CD will be released by Interscope Records in the U.S. and Canada Dec. 4, with Universal handling the distribution. Sony Music Entertainment will release the set outside of North America one day earlier, and Warner Bros. will release the DVD and VHS worldwide.
