'Some people sing to survive….'

'Some people sing for a living
Some people sing to survive….'

The music video for the band's new track 'Your Song Saved My Life', directed by Aya Tanimura, stars real-life students and teachers from the non profit organization Education Through Music (ETM).

ETM provides music as a core subject in under-resourced schools in North America and the engaging video captures young people finding  support, strength and joy in music.

"Your Song Saved My Life",  U2's first new music in two years, is from the soundtrack to Sing 2, in which  Bono makes his animated film debut as the voice of Clay Calloway.

You can support ETM via the official Sing 2 and ETM hub and here.

Right On!
As a teacher in one such under-resourced school, all I can say is thank you.

Music is LIFE
Songs can and have saved lives but music to play it and know it gives lives direction. I learned how to play at a very early age. As I grew older I found that it gave me everything I have in my life. I recommend that everyone learn how to play an instrument you won’t regret it. It’s a whole other world to explore. Lots of fun.

Great support
I love this video. It's very touching to hear these great young people talk about their lives, their struggles and personal tragedies. Their words beautifully express how music helps them to find a sense of comfort and stay strong. The video also captures nice scenes of teachers' work with their students. Singing "Your Song Saved My Life" and practicing it on different musical instruments, the students express so much joy. Music brings a smile to faces and Education Through Music is a remarkable support for them.
