'Adding more?'

25 Mar 2010659
Speaking to Dave Fanning of Irelands's 2FM a few weeks back, Edge said the band had begun thinking about this year's shows. Dave mentioned that in 2009 there was always five or six songs from No Line on the Horizon: 'Would you keep that many?

'We were talking about adding more,' said Edge, in a decidedly enigmatic tone. 'Changing out some of the songs...'

And that was it, the subject was closed, he was giving nothing else away. But we can dream can't we ? So here's the thing: if you could add in a song from 'No Line' which wasn't a regular in the set last year ... what would it be?

And while you're musing on that one, what song from any earlier album, which didn't feature in 2009, would you love to hear in the mix this time around ?

Answers in the box below please. One different track from No Line, one other track from any earlier album. (And why, if you have the time...)

(If your memory needs refreshing on the songs the band were performing last year, check the 2009 dates and click on any city to see the set list.)

POP/ Zooropa
I think it might be time for U2 to play some songs from Pop. 2009 they played quite many ATYCLB and some from HTDAB (and from Horizon, naturally which is fantastic album, best since Pop) . They were nice but I really really some old classics from Pop. And not to mention Zooropa! THat would be something! so, Summa Summarum - Something from Pop - some nice surprise from Zooropa - Achtyng Baby! ( I hadnt heard Ulta Violet since 1993 oh it was great!)

Please Add
Off of No Line - Stand up Comedy - great song. As for old songs, my new found favorite is The Electric Co. I love it! Would love to hear it live when they come to Chicago. My other all time favorites are A Man and A Woman as well as Crumbs from Your Table. Would love to see them perform any or all of those!

Hope it is all going well for you, and all the best in the upcoming tour

Add songs
No Line - Stand Up Comedy Anything from Pop or Zooropa (other than Stay) - Because Pop is a brilliant album and was released 10 years too early and people just weren't ready for the brilliance. Zooropa is self-explanitory.

Bad in Paris
First night at Wembley I missed so much BAD!! Hope they're going to perform it in Paris this year. From NLOTH Stand Up Comedy would be great, although my favourite was already on last years setlist (Unknown Caller).

BAD
I would love to hear White as Snow from the new but please add Bad back to the list. Although I may be biased The Saints Are Coming would also be completely appropriate with the SAINTS winning it all this year. Just in case they need one more suggestion, ya right, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me Kill Me, in Philly!

ditch the classics
as much as i love the old standbys, would be stellar in the first half of the show, NLOTH in it's entirety, in Linear order, especially Winter. Then the second half, all new unreleased tracks from the Fez sessions. I can't wait to get lost in the music again.

Please...
I still want Ultraviolet... And Please, please...! :)

Fez: Being Born
I would love to hear Fez: Being Born live, it would be so epic! And I think it would be great to bring back "40" as the closing song.
justajunkie2
remote possibility
highly unlikely, but would love A Man and a Woman and Cedars of Lebanon in the setlist. The classics are great, but I really dig their b-sides.

Set List
Love to hear Electric Co, Party Girl, October, New Years Day, The Refugee - Out of Control is brilliant. The Ocean might a good way to close, or as someone else said 40. Moment of Surrender is brilliant, but maybe not as the last song. Miami, Mofo and Please are great songs too. 11 o'clock tick tock would be awesome, and I love Bullet the Blue Sky. Keep playing Unforgettable fire, its brilliant, and love to hear Bad. Fast Cars and Yahweh were brilliant in last tour. Love the Falk Radio Mix version of Magnificent - such a great beat. Nearly forgot Zooropa, Zoo station, and Daddy's gone pay for your crashed car. The Go Crazy Live remix was brilliant. loved dancing to it at every concert. And.... well, screw it, the whole damn back catalogue is brilliant. Looking froward to seein you guys again in Paris, maybe Chicago - please come back to Dublin again. I love watching you live - you are amazing - each time is unique and cant be repeated. Brian, Dublin
