Discotheque is one my all time favorites.. Simply love the sound of every instrument - a pure rocker from the future. Wake Up Dead Man i think is such a good song - from the lyrics to the band - that song became a favorite from the start Mofo is just music from the future - the live version is one again a pure rocker - like it a lot It's Hard to find only 3 songs.. Staring at the dun, Last night..., Please, Gone os close too.. Actually it's simply an album i still enjoy the most from U2.. Pure classic in my collection. Kim

Well, starting with staring at the sun, just loved this song the minute I heard it because of the way it seems to make you feel about the world, wondering about life... Please to me is such a powerful song, just a simple saying please stop arguing and fighting and try to get along.. The playboy mansion is a what's it all about out there in the world.

Pop was the first U2 record I bought on release day. I was enchanted with the rumors and leaks leading up to the release. I remember listening to the 30 second clip of Discotheque repeatedly and learning it on guitar before the song hit the radio. I was blown away by the creativity and originality of the record and it remains my favorite to this day. U2 is best when they push their creative boundaries to the limit. It’s a shame the band chooses to pretend this record doesn’t exist.

Please on the 1997 single live in rotterdam de Kuyp Feyenoord stadium, i was there with my brother. Our first big rockshow. We were 16 amd 18 and it was an adventure Ill never forget. What a liveshow that was....the Popmart Tour. The song please then sortoff interluded into WTSHNN. I fell in love with these guys instantly. Bono singing like he didnt care, adam being the cool reserved bass player, larry' s stable drumming and good looks, the unreal sounds coming from Edge' s guitars.

The album brings back some great memories. I would pick Gone, Last Night on Earth and Do you Feel Loved as the most memorable to me from around that time. Would be great to hear some of the Pop tracks again on future tours.

I love Pop! My favorite tracks are the ones that feel like total departures. I love Miami if for no other reason than that insane guitar riff that appears out of nowhere. If God Will Send His Angels might be a classic U2 ballad, but it feels like it belongs in space. Finally I love Wake Up Dead Man because it's rare that you hear an artist struggling with his faith. That is a tough thing to deal with when you pray and you feel like no one listens or that God's plan doesn't make sense anymore. It's one of Bono's finest lyrical moments.

I loved this one from The very first moment!! This tour marks their first concerts in South America!! To see them in Brazil for the first time, was one of the greatest moments in my life!! Great album that deserves a Deluxe Treatment!!

Great album and so underrated. Saw this tour in Lansdowne Road in Dublin way back when. I'd love to see a deluxe version box set released sometime soon.

Pop is one of my favourite U2 albums. I love everything about it. I would have loved to see this explored more...and for the life of me I cannot understand why the band distance themselves from it. An album to be proud of if you want my opinion. I listen to it very regularly. Would love to hear some more of the same. Keep up the good work lads. Long time fan

I love this album. Found it hard to select 3. I went for Discotheque - for the video alone. I also selected Miami (“the sun shines east, the sun shines west, but I know where the sun shines best”) - great when they played it live. Final selection: Playboy Mansion. Edge on fire there: both with his understated guitar playing, but also his harmonies. A beautiful song.

Saw both Popmart shows in Oakland with Oasis opening. The acoustic version of Staring At The Sun was excellent live..Mofo is quite the opener

POP An album I bought on day of release and played over and over and over again for months. Cd stayed in my player… My 3 favorite tracks: 1. GONE , my favorite track. To bad it was never released as a single….This one should be played live on every tour. 2. Please , love those lyrics - amazing base line - song with a spirit.. 3. Staring @ the sun : I really really love the video of this one. Nice catchy tune for the Summer that was on it’s way… This “experimental” record was not the usual U2. So glad they had the courage to release this …

I picked Gone, one of my top 5 U2 songs, wake up dead man, with its great drums fill and last night on Earth with its great bass line. What I love about this album is that it sounds fun, not serious, with great and heavy lyrics. The sound of it was surprising then but it still makes perfect sense 25 years after. My first U2 concert (in Paris). What I do not like is the way U2 turned its back to this album, which, to me, is their last exciting effort (with no line on the horizon, which also does not seem to be recognized enough). Maybe the last album they took risks with.

Great album, massive change in their style proves how versatile U2 are. would have chose more than three but went for Gone, Mofo, and Please, the way they played Please into Bad always gives me goose bumps. Great tour, what a stage set up. Memories of being at the old Wembley stadium. .

I remember going to Popmart in Oslo. The big lemon broke down. During the song Please, something went wrong and it was just total silence for a few seconds. bono improvises something and Larry and Edge follow. I just love that version!

I always tought discotheque was one of the weakest songs on the album but it grew on me over the years. Miami is the worst song u2 have ever created I just don't like that one and that's it. Please make a boxset of this there must be so much stuff left from recording that is worth getting out there. Like lady with the spinning head. Isn't that from these sessions?
