'Adding more?'

25 Mar 2010659
Speaking to Dave Fanning of Irelands's 2FM a few weeks back, Edge said the band had begun thinking about this year's shows. Dave mentioned that in 2009 there was always five or six songs from No Line on the Horizon: 'Would you keep that many?

'We were talking about adding more,' said Edge, in a decidedly enigmatic tone. 'Changing out some of the songs...'

And that was it, the subject was closed, he was giving nothing else away. But we can dream can't we ? So here's the thing: if you could add in a song from 'No Line' which wasn't a regular in the set last year ... what would it be?

And while you're musing on that one, what song from any earlier album, which didn't feature in 2009, would you love to hear in the mix this time around ?

Answers in the box below please. One different track from No Line, one other track from any earlier album. (And why, if you have the time...)

(If your memory needs refreshing on the songs the band were performing last year, check the 2009 dates and click on any city to see the set list.)

i dont like "Breathe" as an initial song, i feel its to slow, perhaps you can use "Get on your boots" with that intro that u guys were playing when the promotion of the single. On the other hand, "White as snow" could be perfect after an energetic son and then followed by "Bullet the blue sky". Its my feelig. Cheers. Why dont you try "Two Hearts beat as one", would be great seing Bono dancind "Twist again, like we did last summer" haha chubby checker would be on the top of the moon haha.

Just a though
The Ocean maybe as an interlude between 2 parts of the show. It was really nice to play earlier songs from "Boy" on Vertigo Tour. Fez/Being Born and Cedars Of Lebanon. Of course "Pop" songs like Discothèque or "Gone".

It would be stand up comedy!!! And "Bad" or "who's gonna ride your wild horses" I think it would sound cool as all sing :)

Additions
Like the picks from No Line. Would suggest the addition of "Original of the Species" or perhaps "She's A Mystery" or maybe "Kite".

my vote
Would love to see The Wanderer or FEZ as the opening track lead into Mofo, Discotheque, then Two Hearts. Stand Up Comedy is a shoo in. If they don't release a new album before the tour, then this should be the lead summer single. What happened to MOS being released as a single. One track to throw in the mix that would blow people away is Babyface.

Any!
All of No Line On The Horizon was amazing, but for the other question, i've heard you've never played Acrobat in concert before, but in case you can't do that, then Discothèque!

It would be nice having "Fez-Being Born" as an encore, Mothers of the Disappeared, Exit and '40' as last song ! =)

Please play Fez and Mofo!!! This stage was built for Mofo and Fez is one of my favourite songs on the album! Not to mention, the album was recorded there! Also, my friend is coming to the show and his favourite No Line On the Horizon song is Fez.

Sitting in a muddy field!!??
Why is the band's only UK appearance at Glastonbury? Wallowing in a muddy field in Somerset for three days is not my idea of a good time. Songs: White As Snow from NLOTH The Electric Co from UABRS

More songs
From NLOTH, I'd add "Stand Up Comedy," because while the others are great, I think "Stand Up Comedy" would translate best into a live show. From an earlier album I'd pick "Bad." I love the song, and I think it definitely deserves a spot in the setlist. BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD!!!

Adding Songs to The Set
Stand Up Comedy would be awesome, keep no line on the horizon its awesome and filled with intense sound, I have never heard Bullet The Blue Sky live either (Zoo TV Solo PLEASEEEEEE!!!) The Fly would be awesome, Zoo station, Even Better Than the Real thing, Two Hearts Beat as One, LEMON!!! Discotheque! Gone, New York would be great too! Stay, Exit, One Tree Hill, In God's Country, Dirty Day, I just said a lot of songs maybe this could be a setlist =D just sayin, Obv keep Streets in the Setlist and W or w.o You
new songs
I'd go for Fez. My personal favourite would be Cedars of Lebanon but I can't figure out how they could do it live... it's a fantastic song to listen to at night but it's not stadium material. Old song : Acrobat ! And they should bring Helter Skelter back. Steal it back again, and make Streets the opener it's always deserved to be.

Absolutely !
a) White as snow. b) A Celebration. Regards & thanks. Asakia

Any POP song
Third time i'm writing this comment since march 25th. Hope this time it will be OK :-) NLOTH : Stand up comedy + Any song from the POP LP. Discotheque (or Mofo) would definitly shake the stadium, Please is the band's most beautiful song, Gone is so so so rock...

I Will Follow
I will Follow is all I ask. God, it's the opening song of their first album and their most played song ever, and it's really EPIC when played live... Please, please, please: add it to the set. I won't care about the NLOTH song to be added if there's no I Will Follow on the setlist =P

Zooropa
From No Line - No Line On The Horizon I think best fits with true U2 spirit and then Numb or Lemon please :) was too young to go on ZooTV. See you in Paris

Pride(In the name of Love)
I missed Pride (In The Name of Love) in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. They HAVE to include this one at each date!! How can they not play this??

Additional Songs
I would love to hear Fez-Being Born! I think it would be an awesome opener or encore. As for previous albums, Even Better Than The Real Thing or Zooropa, that era of U2 goes well with this tour. Please keep Ultra Violet!!
Holyfunkster
Suggestions Anyone?
From "No Line On the Horizon"..."Stand Up Comedy". Earlier Rare B-Sides like "Spanish Eyes" or "Everlasting Love" would be absolutely fantastic! Earlier album tracks....well...I've always been partial to "Trip Through Your Wires"!!!
